Not helpful at all, there isnt even a tutor for this class. They’ll do the same for you.
Book which he wrote is full of text. Submitted data becomes the property of RateMyProfessors. Prof is condescending and refers to himself as a “benevolent dictator” Makes material extremely difficult to learn. He sort of has a way of making you feel as if you are beneath him.
Yes Would Take Again: Does not give assignments or in between class tests. If you do the homework, and come to class, you’ll cnavos fine.
Sometimes he can be funny, but most times a pain. No Would Take Again: Ads can be annoying, but they allow us to provide you this resource for free.

If you need your hand held its not. He doesnt care if you cznavos or fail. If you are confident in your ability to teach your self stats then this class is ok for you. Rate This Professor Share. Were these reviews helpful? But the kicker is that hes so impersonal!
He is not a babysitter, and expects you to earn your grade. The book provides no clarity at all to concepts and is written as if heorge are in his office talking to him! He is the most unpredictable prof. No extra credit, No extra grades. He is the worst professor i have ever had at VCU. We’re all counting on you.
He does not take attendance, but assumes you will do the homework and ask questions. Very annoying to read or learn out of!

Help guide your fellow classmates by giving them the inside scoop! If you need a lecture on life go ahead, he spends more time on why you should study than on statistics. He is condescending and obnoxious. He is not at all considerate.
He wrote the book, he should devote a chapter to life lessons or maybe the standard deviation of fooling all of the people all of the time. Also as has been said, he loves to give “life lessons” I find them entertaining Tests are basic in comparison to the homework.
Terrible teacher, doesnt answer questions and he is a he is rude when you dont know something and you ask for help take anyone but him 0 people found this useful 0 people did not find this useful report this rating. Can see everyone else feels the same! He doesnt care if you pass or fail 0 people found this useful 0 people did not find this useful report this rating. No more, no less. He has no office hours, and doesn’t post hw answers on blackboard, if you have a question then geoge rushes you. He is a little corney, but at least he make the lectures different.
Exams are easier than the homework problems, and nothing is unexpected. If you can understand what he’s saying in his lectures, you will do fine.
I can definitely agree with the prior comments about his cockiness, however, if you have a good sense of humor and can tolerate some of life’s pep talks which you may or may not need, he’s actually pretty funny. Probably cuz he wrote the book. IP addresses are logged. We don’t need another regurgitation class in college. My GPA dropped because of him. This guy is a complete jerk.
His hw is definitly harder then his test. All I can say is do the homework, although he doesn’t enforce it, come to class prepared!!!
Does not want to deal with people in person, hes kind of a character. If you are an independant, self-sufficient student, his class is pretty nice to take.
