The Cossacks were stereotypes to the core. In the midst of danger, Alec and Becky find themselves deeply drawn to each other. I liked the edgy feel when they’re in danger and how they evade the Cossacks. If I were heroine, I’d be wary of unusual rashes in bad places.

I absolutely loved Alec. It was here, while studying the Romantic poets, such as Wordsworth, Byron, and Keats that she first fell in love with the Regency period in which her novels are set. Weirdly enough, later in the book his penis is referred to as his “phallus”, although earlier it had been the-unfortunately- usual “cock”.
Their chemistry was great. I will admit, in previous stories, I did not like Alec. Your display name should be at least 2 characters long. Lord Alec Knight, the most daring and handsome rogue in all of London, is a smooth-talking aristocrat with an abundance of high-society lady admirers.

In my opinion, any author who can make me brush off my concerns by giving me such an entertaining read is a very talented one. She trailed her fingertips down his cheek. Even his big crime wasn’t that big, really.
Alec wasn’t troubled in the ways that many of his brothers were, but his own self-doubts and lack of self-worth manifested itself in “rakish” behavior — even though he wasn’t really a rake at heart.
Yum with a cherry on top. That their arguments, though few, often occurred because of Becky being unreasonable.
